Privacy policy
Last updated: 28 October 2026
This policy explains what personal data romegolfcartguide.com ("we", "us") handles, why, and what rights you have under the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and Italian data protection law.
Who is responsible for your data
This website is run by RomeGolfCartGuide.com. For any question about your data, or to exercise your rights, contact us on WhatsApp at +39 393 855 2086.
What we collect
Browsing this site. We don't use analytics, advertising cookies or tracking pixels, and we don't ask you to create an account. Like every website, our hosting provider automatically records technical data (IP address, browser type, pages requested, date and time) in server logs to keep the site secure and working.
WhatsApp messages. If you contact us on WhatsApp, we receive your phone number, your name as shown in WhatsApp and whatever you write to us, for example travel dates, group size and hotel area. We use this only to answer you and help you find or arrange a tour.
Bookings with a local operator. If you ask us to arrange a tour that isn't sold online, we share with that tour operator only what they need to run it: your name, phone number, date, group size and pickup address. We tell you who the operator is before you confirm.
Links to booking platforms
When you click "See dates & book", you leave our site and go to Viator. The link contains our partner ID so Viator can pay us a commission. Viator may set cookies and will process your booking and payment data under its own privacy policy. We never see your payment details, and Viator only tells us that a booking was made, not who you are.
Third-party content on this site
To show photos and fonts, your browser loads files from Unsplash (images) and Google Fonts. These providers receive your IP address when the files load. They act under their own privacy policies.
Legal basis
- Answering your messages and arranging tours you ask for: steps taken at your request before or to perform a contract (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
- Server logs and site security: our legitimate interest in running a safe website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
- Keeping records we're required to keep by law, such as invoices: legal obligation (Art. 6(1)(c) GDPR).
How long we keep it
WhatsApp conversations are kept for up to 12 months after your last message, unless they relate to a booking, in which case we keep the booking details as long as tax and accounting law requires (generally 10 years in Italy). Server logs are kept for a short period set by our hosting provider.
Where your data goes
WhatsApp, our hosting provider, Unsplash and Google may process data outside the European Economic Area. In those cases they rely on safeguards approved by the European Commission, such as the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.
Your rights
You can ask us to access, correct or delete your data, to limit or object to how we use it, or to receive it in a portable format. Just write to us using the contacts above; we'll reply within one month. If you think we've handled your data unlawfully, you can complain to the Italian data protection authority, the Garante per la protezione dei dati personali.
Cookies
This site does not set any cookies itself. If we add analytics or advertising tools in the future, we'll update this policy and ask for your consent first with a cookie banner.
